The Centre for Rare Oro- and Craniofacial Malformations is a subcentre of the Centre for Rare Diseases at the University Hospital of Cologne, Germany. It treats and provides for patients with prenatally or clinically diagnosed orofacial or craniofacial malformations, including syndromal and non-syndromal dysmorphia of varying severity. One focus of the centre is the interdisciplinary treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate. Durable cooperation between the disciplines of orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, phoniatrics and pedaudiology, pediatrics, neurosurgery, and human genetics not only provides a comprehensive patient care but also the basis for recurrent scientific exchange.
